Union Street Technologies has launched a new mobile app for its aBILLity billing platform. Developed for iOS and Android, the aBILLity app is available for download in the App Store and Play Store respectively. The app has been designed to complement the existing features of the core aBILLity platform, providing a high-level overview of billing activities and access to customer information.
Used by over 600 communication providers (CPs), the aBILLity platform is one of the most widely used software packages of its type in the UK. It provides the tools to calculate customers’ network usage, rates this usage according to tariffs, then generates and dispatches invoices to customers. The platform offers many additional features that assist CPs in profitably managing their network services and complying with industry regulation.
Discussing the inspiration behind the app, Head of Sales and Marketing, Vincent Disneur, said, “During consultations with our user community, one thing that repeatedly came up was a desire for on-demand access to certain information held within aBILLity’s database. Similar to how banking customers can use an app to quickly check the balance of their accounts and manage payees, we’ve developed the aBILLity mobile app to provide easy access to contact information, customer data, and management reporting that can give a snapshot of how billing operations are performing.
“This enables staff that may not be directly involved with billing to access the information they require from anywhere at any time without the need to access a PC or to contact billing personnel. It also offers business continuity advantages which are particularly relevant in light of current events.”
