Union Street Launches Forest Project for Partners

14th October 2021  by Gareth

This summer the world has experienced some of the most extreme weather it’s ever seen before, and governments are finally prioritising the environment and committing to cutting emissions faster and sooner.

Businesses must also take responsibility and act NOW! And so Union Street are excited to announce their very own environmental project, Union Street Forests!

Vincent Disneur, Union Street’s Managing Director stated “Union Street is passionate about preserving our planet’s future and people’s health, and we are committed to contributing to global carbon neutrality. With this in mind, we are delighted to be partnering with ReforestACTION to plant our very own Union Street Forest.

ReforestACTION was founded in 2010 and, thanks to its unique model of crowd planting, its programme has financed more than 12 million trees across 35 countries!

Vincent continues “Our aim is simple, to plant a tree, each year, for every partner we work with, and our objective is to create a more sustainable planet that we can all thrive in. So far, we have planted more than 2,000 trees around the world’s rainforests and this number will grow as our business does. In time, our plan is to plant even more trees here in the UK.

“We also regularly send out reusable products such as chilly bottles and washable masks to encourage sustainability and we are going to be introducing an environmental policy into our own values so we can really drive tangible actions across the business.

“Partnering with ReforestACTION is a positive step in giving back to our environment and together with our people and partners Union Street will contribute to ensuring the sustainability of our wonderful planet.”
