What’s the plan for 2022?

2021 was an exciting year for Union Street in which we saw the company grow to over 160 personnel, our user community expand to over 4,500 billing professionals and, collectively, our billing software was used to process over £2bn of retail billing.

2021 also saw the launch of the annual Billing People Summit which surpassed all expectations and provided a fantastic opportunity for billing professionals to network and share ideas.

In addition to all this, we invested circa £3m into the research and development of our software.

This investment has already resulted in over 1,000 enhancements to performance and functionality, delivering a faster, more productive user experience.  But there’s much more to come and Union Street has some big plans for 2022.

Union Street’s plans for the future

Our vision is to help our partners to become bigger, better and more profitable through the suite of new cloud-based software products we’re bringing to market.

We plan to revolutionise the sale to bill process for the benefit of our partners.

We’re focusing a lot on automation, empowering the end customer, and providing our partners with all the insight they need to grow and shape their business.

We have a range of consultancy services which we offer our partners to help them unlock the true value in their customer base. This will also help our partners to optimise costs, allowing them to develop more competitive propositions and generate more business.

By automating the common transactions for reseller businesses, we will help resellers to reduce costs whilst boosting productivity.  Increased automation can also put more power in the hands of end customers by enabling them to self-serve and buy additional products via resellers’ branded portals.

By understanding common issues within the billing environment, we can also help resellers to manage customer queries, and we are investing in Bot technology to help reduce the burden of customer queries landing on customer support teams.

We provide regular industry updates to all of our partners and keep them informed of any changes that will be of interest to them and could help them on their growth journey.
